| Summary: | The film shows a day in the life of the Bosnian children who have been living in a refugee centre in Ljubljana for over a year. The main character is a ten-year-old boy called Husein. He lives In the centre with his brother, while his mother and his eldest brother have stayed in Bosnia. The film follows Husein's daily routine, from breakfast and school to the evening atmosphere in the big room, which is now a sort of a home to him. The boy shares with us some of his thoughts on the life in the centre, where every day is like the other and nothing new ever happens. The film uses colour and black and white technique. The monotony of the true life is in colour, while the sequences showing children at play or thoughtful and sad children are in black and white. The two different techniques emphasize the lost childhood of these young refugees who have only one thing in common with the other children of the world: their play. |
