Andare a Roma (1976)
država: Italija dolžina: 25min izvorni format projekta: 16mm, barvni jezik: italijanščina kratki igrani film
stvarna gesla: italijanska avantgarda
| Vsebina (angl.): | On one hand the television images of Andare a Roma remind us of the spreading use of video in contemporary art (as in Un Supermaschio), on the other, they confirm Baudrillard's theory that television has actually replaced reality, the "live" broadcast of the monitors being more real than reality itself, while the action which takes place in the artist's room - which is purposely furnished with state-of-the art designer furniture, pop art paintings (also works by Frank Stella) and contemporary art magazines - is ritualistic and timeless as if the protagonist is monitoring exterior events in such a way as to be able to dominate them. Andare a Roma presents the story of a (deliberated) failed act of rebellion, political or aestetical as it may be, a story which Fagone describes as "an act of gratuitousness in the sense of Andre Gide, resolved by an act of non accomplishment in the sense of Freud". |
