Summary:

During the filming of “Jeanne Dielman” Sami Frey recorded what was happening on the set. A film about a film in the making. Actress Delphine Seyrig and director Chantal Akerman argue constantly over their different approaches to acting: Seyrig, who studied under Strasberg a.k.a. the Father of Method Acting, challenges and frustrates, and is in turn challenged and frustrated by Akerman, who says no to psychologizing of any sorts and to many of Seyrig’s questions answers, “Je ne sais pas.”
