| Vsebina (angl.): | One of Guy-Blache's most enjoyable movies is a brisk and charming romcom, which the director made in a freelance capacity for William Randolph Hearst's International Film Service after Solax closed down. In this scenario by Frederick Chapin, singer-turned-actress Doris Kenyon and matinee idol Carlyle Blackwell play strangers looking for solitude who are thrown together by chance. Kenyon's Millie is the waif of the title. She's a tomboy who flees an abusive stepfather and Fraunie Frauholz has a key role as the neighbour who defends her to the utmost. They both take refue in an abandoned cottage... True to Guy-Blache's form, each half of the couple has equal screen time and the whole film can be read as a feminist take on the Pygmalion myth , as well as a bitter comment on the class divide between the two lovers.
