| Summary: | The story takes place in 17th century Slovenia. The lord, his servant Štefan and their captive, a Turkish soldier called Meho, are sitting in a room. The lord is writing poetry, while Meho tries to escape. Meho becomes friends with Štefan. Meho and Štefan decide to go to Bosnia together and start a business – making slivovka, a spirited drink. Meho uses a trick to get rid of Štefan's wife Katra, and he and Štefan take the lord along as a trophy.
